Jon was most active as a musical artist from the mid 1970’s through the mid 1990’s as a part the Santa Cruz and greater Monterey/SF Bay music scene. With a focus on original songs, he honed his musical and songwriting skills with his high school buddies in Broken Road, with several great players in the Jon Jiles Group and later as a solo artist.

With no real interest in playing in cover bands, Jon pursued the mystical ‘recording deal’ with a handful of independent and major labels until disillusionment with the music industry machine set in and he took a long hiatus.

The time away didn’t preclude songwriting though, and now that there is, at least, this humble website in which to present new projects, you will see most of his efforts appear here going forward.
